Winter Doldrums and My Expanding To-Do List

2014 is off to a very s-l-o-w start.
Partly because of the weather.
The *snow* days and holidays interfered with my momentum.
But *probably* I'm just hibernating.
After all, this is Metro Atlanta...
And we don't do *snow* days.

Today, I stood and watched my neighbors build a snowman.

I didn't participate.
I didn't even take the picture.
I cajoled my neighbor into taking it for me..
I know... that's just wrong.

I have been to several notable places...
even started several projects...
but haven't completed any.
Again, I'm hibernating... contemplating... thinking about what I want to do...
what I need to do...
just *not* doing it.

I've moved a few things around...

Swapped out a cabinet for my t.v.
Finally hung a painting on my mirror wall...
and found yet another temporary place for my tobacco basket.

I got as far as planning what to do with two French chairs that need to be redone...
getting this far before stopping...

I began stripping a table for a friend...
preparing the top for staining it dark...

Lo and behold, hidden stains go deep in the wood...
and wood filler was used to fill between the individual boards....

I'll let you know how she wants to proceed with the stripping/staining/painting.
I got this far with the weekend's 60 degree weather...
followed by the *Southern Ice Storm* ...
and I haven't been out of the house since...

Fast  Slow forward a few days...
It's now a week later...
nothing more has been done on any projects.
and the only thing that's different is the weather...
again...
Now we're in the 60s, with a forecast high tomorrow of 71.

P.S.
Wow... I just realized I never posted this.
How can that happen?
From February till March?
I'm sooo ready to leave these Winter doldrums behind.

In the meantime...
Thanks for stopping by.
